Fiona grew up in Sierra Leone, Kenya and the UK. Before being ordained Fiona worked as a maths and science teacher in Malawi, a teacher’s aide in Niger and in two churches in the UK. After she was ordained she did her curacy here in Aston and Nechells before being a Vicar in Girlington in Bradford.
After marrying Matthew she completed her PhD in New Testament studies and split her time between interim parish roles (including one here at Aston and Nechells), writing and teaching, and caring for their daughter.
In 2022 she came back to Aston and Nechells as Vicar. Fiona is passionate about seeing people come to know Jesus and seeing people grow as followers of Jesus. She enjoys cooking, knitting, sewing, mountain walking and has just started doing the local park run when she can.
