Curate: Rev’d Sandra Daniels

Born and grown in Birmingham, Sandra was baptised and confirmed at St Ann’s church, Moseley. She moved with her parents and siblings to Yardley Wood in the early 80’s.

Sandra attended Harborne Hill secondary school then Sutton Coldfield College, and worked in care homes before attending De Montford University to train as a social worker in Birmingham and Solihull, she specialised in supporting families of children with additional needs. She left Social Work in 2017 to care for her mother.

Sandra and Chris met at a youth club on Ombersley Road they married in 1987, and have 4 grown up sons and 5 grand children.

In 2021, Sandra started the discernment process and with the support and blessing of her vicar and congregation of St Edburgas church, attended Queens College and became ordained as deacon at Birmingham cathedral in 2024.

Sandra’s interests are swimming, cycling, growing fruit and veg and live music. She is passionate about seeing people come to faith and grow as disciples and worshipers of Jesus.
